
Moyọ̀ Lawuyi is a Nigerian early-career journalist based in Toronto.
She believes journalism is a powerful tool that informs people, and wants to help them understand the complexities of the world around them while also highlighting people and communities that have often been erased from narratives. She specializes in essay and feature writing and is interested in arts, history, communities, and human-focused stories.
She is also passionate about telling stories about African and Black communities, their challenges, and the incredible achievements of individuals within them. She has worked with publications such as The Local, The Eyeopener, HerCampus and Endnote – The TMU Historical Journal.
